Return of the Mack.

As the AFC was attempting to swallow the big pill of being destroyed by the NFC, Cleveland Browns center Alex Mack appropriately rumbled and stumbled his way into the end zone!  This is pretty good.

Never loses its flare!

Sunday evening the Pro Bowl got underway in Hawaii and a few fans must have gotten so excited that they felt compelled to take their clothes off and dart across the field. I always get a good chuckle when people think streaking is a good idea. Good to know I'm not alone, Darnell Dockett thought it was pretty funny too. The NFC went on to win 55-41.

He Fancy, huh?

Check out Foxy Frenzy regular Blake Griffin getting fancy at the baseline as he twists to get the basket! Can't say enough good things about this guy and what he brings to the sport especially the Clippers, this team needs him!! Because of Griffin, the Clippers have gotten more love on this site, this season than the Lakers! Never thought I'd see the day!

NBA Nastyness!!

There was plenty of good actions hitting the hardwood in the NBA Wednesday evening!

Kevin Durant scores a career high with 47 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves!!

J.R. Smith throws it down at the Palace against the Pistons!

Cougar Town.

Wednesday evening was a big night for the then undefeated San Diego State Aztecs(4).  Steve Fisher lead his team into BYU's home court the Marriott Center unbeaten but the Cougars (9) were the only top 25 ranked team the Aztecs would face all season.  Well, the Cougs were not about to have the Aztecs come onto their court and get a W!  BYU beat San Diego State 71-58 and they were led by Jimmer Fredette who put up 43 points!!  This kid was amazing and it was a great effort by the entire squad.  Currently, the only team undefeated in College hoops are The Ohio State Buckeyes and they're are ranked number 1 in the country with 10 games left on the regular season schedule.

Check out Jimmer's (love that name) post game interview:

BYU Fans were ready for the action, the students began filing in 2 hours and 15 minutes before game time!!

The Cougars put on a pretty sick pre-game show!!

Tennis Temper.

When you're playing Roger Federer you may want to lower the expectation bar just a tad. Especially is you're from Switzerland and you know the extent of all the ways that Federer can find was to beat you. For fellow Swiss Stanislas Wawrinka a.k.a. Stan, he didn't take the loss very well.  In fact his temper got the best of him and he took it out on his racquet!  This caused Stan to be warned and earn a code violation.  I've never seen a racquet bend like this.

Mr West is in the Building!!

David West for the New Orleans Hornets brought his A game against the OKC Thunder! With only seconds to spare watch as he sinks the game winner!! Oh, you so fly Mr. West!

One Word: Drogba.

This is a beautiful thing, Chelsea star Didier Drogba nails the strike against Bolton and this is Drogba's tenth goal of the season. Chelsea went on to win 4-nil and this win puts the Blues back in the Premier League Title race!  I could watch this goal over and over again! Gotta love the right foot of Drogba.

Mark Brunell gets Sanchized!!

On the sidelines of the Jets/Steelers game, the Jets QB Mark Sanchez was digging for gold when he decided to spread the love on the coat of backup QB Mark Brunell! This kid always gets caught doing things on the sidelines, last season it was eating a hotdog now its boogs? Glad to see he is normal!!...Errrr, well semi-normal! Either way, I think its funny with a hint of grossness!

Highlight Time.

It's time to get your highlight on!

Here are recaps of the NFC and AFC Championship Games!

Packers beat the Bears 21-14. I hope the Packers win the Super Bowl!

Steelers beat the Jets 24-19. I was pulling for Rex Ryan and his Jets but no dice!

Foto Friday!

When I saw this old school pic I absolutely fell in love with it.  My friend Beau Bishop shared these old school photos of Broadway Joe Namath and one caught my eye.  Here is Namath with designer Richard Barry and soccer star Pele as he tries to bounce a football on his head!  This was taken at a promotional event in 1975,  I adore everything about this!

TheCrew.Com Preseason Report!

Hey Crew Fans, here is a preseason report from the first day of training camp! It's great to have the Columbus Crew back in town, I'm looking forward to a great season!

The Past in the Future: NBA Style!

All of the Foxy Followers know I love creative commercials and the NBA never disappoints when creating creative commercials!  Recently, I've seen one of the best.  They found old footage of NBA stars like, Steven Nash, Kevin Durant, Amar'e Stoudemire and add an element of the future.  People are looking on the youthful version and telling them where they will be down the road. The NBA has titled these, Encouragement Promo.  It's pretty incredible and looks very, very cool!!

Men, take note!

Female tennis star Kim Clijsters gets her revenge on reporter Todd Woodbridge for asking Clijsters friend if she was pregnant! The best part is she gets her revenge on centre court!

Act like you surprised.....

I am debating creating a section on the Foxy Frenzy just for Blake Griffin! He has made so many appearances on this site that he may deserve his own section!  What is something he has made a lot of this season?  Sick dunks!! Check out this 360 spin move for the dunk!

Chuck does the Dougie!!

Lets just add this to the list of reasons why I adore Charles Barkley!! Here is Chuck breaking it down and doing the Dougie!!

Jenny from the Block!

Recently, my favorite diva, Jennifer Lopez stopped by The Ellen Degeneres Show. Ellen always likes to have a little fun with her guests and pull some pranks on innocent civilians! The last time we showed you one of these clips it was David Beckham was pulling the prank, this time it's Jenny from the block!!

Tuesday, January 18, 2011

You've got to be kidding.

When I heard that Starbucks was coming out with a larger size the "Trenta" I thought it was a joke. You can now have a quart's worth of caffeine or 31 ounces worth of your favorite cold beverage, no hot beverages in the Trenta size. It will also cost you 50 cents more to upgrade from the Venti to Trenta. The new cups will be tested starting Tuesday in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Hawaii, Nevada and Arizona. The rest of the Nation will have to wait until February 1, rats!! I wanted to drink my daily caloric intake NOW!!

I mean....Is this really necessary?!?

The most interesting man.

Memphis Grizzles star Rudy Gay wants to go to the NBA All Star Game! Who doesn't?! While some players try to force feed fans by constantly trying to get them to vote, Rudy decided to have some fun with it and why not when you're the most interesting man in the NBA.  Well done Rudy, well done!!

Exciting day in the NBA.

Incase you had to work, 26 teams hit the hardwood on MLK day and here is some of the exciting action!

What a great way to start...Blake Griffin!! Against the Pacers, Griffin put up 47 points! It was a career day for the young fella! The Clip Show won 114-107.

J-Wall finds JaVale McGee on the alley oop! Wizards beat the Jazz 108-101.

Welcome back KG! After missing nine games Garnett returns and makes his presence felt!! Check out this steal! C's beat the Magic 109-106.

Just another night!

When the Rangers and Flyers hit the ice Sunday night it wasn't quite your average night but then again it depends on who you ask!  For the Rangers and Flyers they are known to be a tad bit more on the aggressive side and that was evident on the ice when all h-e-double hockey sticks broke out! Rangers went on to win 3-2!

Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is always observed on the third Monday in January and today is that day. We honor a man who was the voice for so man African Americans during the civl rights movement. He was the youngest winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964 and his life was tragically cut short when he was assassinated on April 4, 1968 but his voice lives on today. Here are two of my favorite quotes from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."

"Let no man pull you low enough to hate him."

These two quotes just resinate with me and I hope the do the same for you. Please take a moment and reflect on all that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's work has done and continues to do for our society.

Why you shouldn't do this.....

Check out this video of a women who is in a mall and she is texting while she walks, like many of us do! But hopefully you do it better than she does....

Golden Moments from the Golden Globes!

After all the football was said and done on Sunday, the Hollywood Stars came out to shine! Ricky Gervais hosted and didn't hold back, you could tell no one knew what he was going to say when he stepped up to the mic! The Social Network was the big winner and I must say, it was an absolutely beautiful crowd! The men and women of the Golden Globes did it right this year! Catherine Zeta Jones and her husband Michael Douglas take my award for best dressed. To me, they exuded what Hollywood glamor should look like, they did it right! Two Foxy Thumbs up for that fierce duo!

Here we go again.

I really don't think a week has gone by this NBA season without a clip of Blake Griffin dominating. Here is a clip from over the weekend when Blake Griffin goes to work over the Lakers and big man Pau Gasol.

The battle of LA didn't stop there, after a Clipper was making a free throw Griffin and Lamar Odom got into it and Griffins teammates came to his defense. Griffin steps back and immediately acts in the appropriate manner.  After the refs review they decided to eject, Lamar Odom, Ron Artest, Blake Griffin and Baron Davis.  I understand the ejection of Odom and Davis but now Artest and Griffin but what am I going to do about it! The Clippers went on to beat the Lakers 99-92!

We've got our Division Championships.

On Saturday the Steelers pulled a second half surge to get a W over the Ravens. Aaron Rogers and his Packers dominated Matt Ryan and the Falcons. Then on Sunday, the Seahawks couldn't get past DA Bears. Rex Ryan and his J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets blanked Bill Belichick, now the Jets are moving on up!

The Steelers will host the Jets on Sunday starting at 6:30 PM on CBS. In my opinion the keys to the match up are: Pittsburgh's offensive line must do a better job of protecting Ben Roethlisberger and the defensive secondary has to step up their game, fly around and be prepared for anything the Jets may have up their sleeve. For the Jets, their running game must maintain the same performance and the same for the Jets their offensive line must be prepared to deal with an angry and fierce Steelers D!

Also on Sunday at 3 PM on FOX the Packers will travel to Chicago to take on the Bears. I hope the Packes absolutely destroy the Bears. I don't know why but I just don't believe the Bears are for real and here they are in the division championship game! Some keys to the game: Packers running game must stay strong and their receivers must be dialed in and no silly mistakes. Bears, OL must protect Jay Cutler and their offense need to utilize their TE's again.

Some sights and sounds from the weekend:

Amazing...

During an AHL game in Norfolk, eight year old Elizabeth Hughes sang the National Anthem when more than half way through there was a technical issue.   The young Elizabeth didn't freeze, rather she received some assistance from the crowd!  This is pretty amazing!

Foto Friday!

Happy Friday my Foxy Followers!!  This Fridays Foto comes to us from the New York Post.  Known for their clever cover pages the Post has out don't themselves with their most recent!  Ladies and Gents, I give you the "Return of the Jet-I."  Classic!!  Staring Darth Vader a.k.a. Belichick and Sexy Rexy as Han Solo!  We will see of Belichick's "death star" is really indestructible on Sunday!

Dungy does it right.

Tony Dungy is one of the classiest men out their. His outlook on life and his ability to advise others is uncanny.  Dungy, was interviewed by AOL and asked what was the best advice he's received regarding leadership.

Throwback Thursday!

Alright kids, it's time to bust out your acid wash jeans, cheesy video graphics and get ready to bust a move! For this Thursdays throwback jam we take you back to 1990 when the band "Go West" landed a top ten hit in the United States, with the song "King of Wishful Thinking." The song became hit after it was featured in the movie "Pretty Woman." Go West was formed in 1982, across the pond in England! I hope everyone enjoys this jam!!

Red Hott Locks Report!

Recently, the Foxy Frenzy got some love from the Red Hott Locks Report! RHL is a hilarious weekly sports show and they put out fantastic content every week! They were kind enough to have me on and they asked me about Ohio State Men's Hoops and of course LeBron James! Check it out!!

Love her.

Recently, Nicki Minaj stopped by the Ellen show to discuss her album "Pink Friday" going platinum. Something else that was platinum? Her shoes!!! I love everything about her Christian Louboutin Bridget’s Back Spiked Booties that were a gift from the rapper Lil Wayne, who discovered her. Wayne clearly has a deep appreciation for Ms. Minaj because he spent $3,965 on those shoes! Wowzers!! Anyhow, watch her interview, I think Nicki and Ellen are both characters.  Ellen's humor is the best!

Nicki performed her latest hit "Moment 4 life" Say what you want about the girl but you have to give her credit for absolutely dominating in the male dominated rap industry. Not only is she dominating but she has earned the respect of her male peers. All the best to Ms. Minaj in 2011!

GOOAALLLL!

Hamit Altintop who plays for Turkey made this amazing goal vs Kazakhstan at the EURO 2012 Qualification Match. Turkey went on to win 0-3!

Crew Call!

Crew Fans, check out my latest interview with the newest addition to the Crew roster 6'4" Forward Tom Heinemann! Great guy, I'm excited to have him on board!

The Beckham Brood!

It has been announced that Victoria and David Beckham are expecting their fouth child! The couple who already have 3 boys Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5 are excited to add to their family.  There are rumors that it is a girl and Victoria is keen on that idea!  Either way, I'm happy for this beautiful couple but can you imagine if its a girl?!  She will be so spoiled by mama Victoria!

MLS Combine, Swamp Style.

Right now in south Florida the MLS Combine is underway and some of the prospects including John Rooney and Amani Walker got to see some of America's finest assets, the Everglades. The players took a ride on an airboat and even got to hold some cuddly alligators!

Spotted over at theorignalwinger.com

Oop's they do it again.

Get a load of this massive pass from Baron Davis to the beast that is Blake Griffin for the alley oop! Seriously, these two have some great chemistry! I am happy to report the Clip show won 105 over Golden State 91.

Pro Bowl Shuffle!

In case you're like me and go to bed really early and you missed this golden little nugget from the late night show! I have got you covered, Ladies and Gents, I give you some SNL favorites along with Jimmy Fallon, Horatio Sans and Will Arnett giving you the "Pro Bowl Shuffle!"

Vick doesn't go out with a bang.

I don't think I am alone when I say I didn't expect Michael Vick's season to end on an interception. To be quite honest, I expected the Eagles to win but Aaron Rodgers and the Packers put together a fantastic game to win 21-16. The Eagles attempted a 4th quarter comeback, like they so often do but it wasn't enough  and the on his final throw of the season/post-season Vick threw an interception.  Next up, the Packers will take on the Atlanta Falcons January, 15 at 8 PM.

A Duck Dougies.

During National Championship media day Oregon running back Kenjon Barner was coaxed into doing the Dougie. Brava to whomever accomplished the coaxing because I always crack a smile when someone busts out the Dougie. If you don't smile or get a slight chuckle when watching the Dougie it's because you can't embrace the fact that you, yourself cannot do the Dougie. I will leave you with this: embrace it. Life on the non-Dougie darkside isn't all the bad!

No Folking Way!

Folking Sexy Rexy and his New York Jets found a way to get a win over Peyton Manning and his Colts. Manning only scored one touchdown and this entire season has been a bit off from what we typically expect to see from the Colts. Yesterdays game was all about kicker Nick folk scoring the game winning 32 yard field goal as the clock was winding down, for a final score of 17-16. I actually picked the Jets to win because there is something about Rex Ryan when the pressure is on he and his team find a way to get it done. After Folk makes his kick and he realizes it's good, well, I won't spoil it for you. Make sure you have your listening ears on!! The Jets will take on the New England Patriots on January, 16 at 4:30.

Get off me.

No one expected the Super Bowl winning Saints to have trouble getting past the 7-9 Seattle Seahawks.  But when Pete Carroll is at the helm I suppose you come to expect the unexpected.  The Seahawks made a game of it from the beginning which wasn't hard considering the Saints pass protection was lackluster.   The Seahawks added cushion to their 34 to 30 lead in the 4 qt with a little over 3 minutes left to go when Marshawn Lynch busted out a dynamite TD run.  Check him out going to work and his teammates doing work for him!  I love seeing QB Matt Hasselbeck getting physical and running up to try and make blocks for his teammate!  The announcers make this even more entertaining, "get off me!!"

Sweet Skills.

Josh Scanlan was at the USBC Team USA bowling trials in Henderson, Nevada. Check out this insane shot from Scanlan!

TP has the gimmies?

During the Sugar Bowl when Ohio State was playing Arkansas, the Buckeyes were running off the field and Quarterback Terrelle Pryor saw something that belonged to him! Watch TP snatch a sign from a Razorback fan!

Footie Fun!

Oooohhhhh!!!

Soccer bloopers are pretty funny. Mainly because the players and fans are so passionate! Here is a blooper of a massive swing and a miss situation! This soccer match in Greece between Veria and Levadiakos is comical because they have many opportunities but NO dice!!  The reaction from the crowd and players is awesome!

Why???

Walt "Clyde" Frazier has joined the likes of Craig Sager and Don Cherry.  Check out his jacket while calling a recent Knicks game!  Ouch.

Scenic Route?

I cringed when I saw this because I can only imagine how much this dude was kicking himself in the arse. In Japan a marathon runner was closing in on getting a W and coming in at first place when he took a wrong turn!!

Emergency Landing?

Memphis Grizzles teammates OJ Mayo and Tony Allen were partaking in a card game to kill time while traveling.  Of course this took an ugly turn that led to the them getting in a fight that had to be broken up by teammates. Reports are saying that apparently Mayo owed Allen money from the game and provoked Allen over paying the debt. On the plane the players got into each others faces, a source says, "Tony warned Mayo to watch his mouth, Mayo wouldn't do it and just kept going off on him."

The teammates had to break up Mayo/Allen and since then they've met with Lionel Hollins the head coach. The Grizzlies released a statement owning up to "brief altercation" between Mayo and Allen, but were quick to say this matter is closed.

Who remembers this time last year when the scandal broke about former Wizards teammates Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton and guns where brought to the lockroom over a card game? Well apparently Mayo and Allen were playing the same card game "boo-ray" which was what Arenas and Crittenton were reported to be playing last year. Should the NBA ban card games??? Kidding!!!

Ray Ray!

Not only does Ray Allen have the most beautiful jump shot in the game but the man can play some D! Watch this block against Luke Ridnour from the Timberwolves!

Thanks to JH (www.twitter.com/JMU2012) for finding this video for me!

Nice effort.

Even though Virginia Tech lost in the Orange bowl the first half was a close match up.  Then in the second half VT got destroyed by Stanford for a 40-12 loss.  In the second quarter, VT quarterback Tyrod Taylor had a ridiculous touchdown pass!  Check it out!

Watch For Potholes!!

When I saw this video on Deadspin.com I immediately wanted to join in on the fun!  Watch this dude hit the slopes, I mean streets of Manhattan with his skies locked and loaded!

In Case You Missed It:

Sugar Bowl Preview:  Ohio State vs. Arkansas, non tatted up edition!

Mustache Monday!

This Mustache Monday is one that has worked it's way up the ranks, literally!  Former NFL Coach and now President of the Cleveland Browns Mike Holmgren, has a 'stache that has climbed the ladder of mustache success!  Holmgren started out as a high school football coach back in 1971, moved up as a college coach in 1981 and was named the quarterback coach of the 49er's in 1986!  Known for grooming quarterbacks for success such as, Steve Young, Brett Favre and Matt Hasselbeck, Holmgren was also grooming a killer mustache!  He is one of those guys who would look odd without his power 'stache because it seems he has had one forever!  Whatever he is doing to keep his mustache, it's working.

I Hate When This Happens.

Foxy Followers know I have a weakness for creative commercials! When I saw this one, I thought it was pretty clever and very funny. Adrian Peterson does a great job, check it out!

No he didn't!!

Paul Pierce was recently fined $15,000, for what you ask? No, Pierce didn't lash out at the media or say something he shouldn't via Twitter. Paul Pierce must cough up $15,000 for throwing his gum in to the stands!! During the C's/Pacers game Paul's gum clearly lost flavor so he decided to toss it into the stands, wow, classy!! Come on Pierce, you should no better!
