2012 NBA All Star Roster.
On February 26 in Orlando, Florida the NBA All Stars will hit the hardwood to take on the best of the best in the East and West. I'm a poet. Thursday night they announced the starters for each conference. The Eastern Conference All-Star starters include reigning MVP Derrick Rose and Dwayne Wade as guards, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony as forwards and Dwight Howard as center. For the West the starters are Chris Paul and Kobe Bryant take the starting guard spots while Kevin Durant and Blake Griffin come back as forwards. Andrew Bynum also appears for the first time as center for the west. No surprises here, good to see Bynum & Griffin getting the nod.

Violent Block.
It is a Blake Griffin heavy edition of The Foxy Frenzy this Friday. Can you blame me?! The dude IS a BEAST. A few nights ago the Clip Show took on the Utah Jazz. Gordon Hayward for the Jazz decided to try and make a play when Griffin says, "Pshhhh, COME AT ME BRUH" and he makes a monster block! Check it out!!

Blake Griffin goes Scientific.
The LA Clippers are off to a great start during this shortened season. The additions of Chris Paul, Chauncey BI-BI-BILLUPS!!! and Caron Butler, have elevated this squads performance. And did I mention they have a pretty good player in one Blake Griffin, A.K.A. The Auburn Mamba!! This dude is dunking, blocking and lobbing all over the place. Recently he made a stellar dunk over OKC's Kendrick Perkins. How does the Auburn Mamba do it?! ESPN's Sports Science breaks it ALL down.

Pre-game Workout.
On Sunday, before LeBron James and the Miami Heat took on the Chicago Bulls, LBJ peddled his way to American Airlines Arena. Apparently the Miami Marathon created massive amounts of traffic so James and Randy Mims from LRMR hit the road! I love this and clearly a pre-game bike didn't hurt, James scored 35 points for a final of 97-93!
I must give credit where credit is due so a big thanks to Ted Hill @TedHill who tweeted this stellar pic!

Tragic Loss.
On Saturday night the Twitter world was abuzz with tweets and reports that legendary coach Joe Paterno had died after a short battle with a form lung cancer. Word out of state college was that he had died so CBS published a story on their site that the reports were true. Then the Paterno family gave a statement that although he was in serious condition that Joe Paterno had not passed away. ESPN and other outlets only reported the condition but it's clear that CBS wanted to be the first to report the story and not the factual outlet to report the story. On Sunday morning just over two months after being diagnosed with a form of lung cancer, 85 year old, Joe Paterno did indeed pass away at 9:25. He was surrounded by his family and friends at State College Hospital, and after spending 46 years and nearly five decades of his life at Penn State, Joe Paterno's career may have ended in scandal but he is the winningest coach in major college football and there will never be another JoePa. Thoughts and prayers to the Paterno family.

Starting the year off right!
Friday night the U.S. Women's National Team played the Dominican Republic as they started CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying. Well, let's just say the ladies must have eaten their Wheaties because they beat the DR 14-0!! The team set a new record of most goals scored, in 1991, the USWNT hit a record of 12-0 in a World Cup Qualifier. Hear from Amy Rodriguez, Heather O'Reilly and Lauren Cheney after the match! Way to go ladies and good luck vs. Guatemala on Sunday!

Lakers vs. Heat.
On Thursday night the Lake Show made a stop in Miami to take on LeBron James and the Heat. Prior to this meeting the Lakers were 1-4 on the road and they would leave Miami 1-5 after they were dominated by the Heat who were sans D. Wade, not to mention that James missed shoot around on game day with "flu like symptoms" riiigghhhttt, can you say head games?! Clearly he was feeling alright when the game started because he went for 31 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the Heat over the Lakers 98-87.
